Masala's Eye

Hi,

Masala's got a cataract... This actually happened quite a long time ago. I haven't been writing for AGES, sorry. But it's okay for her since rats have very bad eyesight anyway, and can only see about half a meter (aprox. one and a half feet) in front of them :)
So, it's not actually that bad. I'll explain just now what a cataract is.

This is her eye; the blue dot is the cataract. It's taken over her whole pupil, so when she's in a dark place it grows with her pupil (her pupil expands in the dark).

WHAT IS A CATARACT?

A cataract is a genetic eye disorder. It makes the eye that it is in unfocused. For it to go away is a natural miracle. So there's not much chance of it going away. In fact, almost not a chance. "A million-to-one chance, but it might just work," as Terry Pratchett says.

I hope that explains a cataract. If it doesn't, please comment! :)

Anna :)
