Mites
Mites are horrible insects; they bite your poor rat and make horrible scabs.
SYMPTOMS: Scabs on ear and nose, loss of hair, restlessness and red or pink spots on the tail. To kill the mites you should go to your vet and ask for Ultrum.

Illness in Rats
If your rats sniffle a lot and sneeze frequently, check if their cage is dirty, if it is, clean it immediately or it might get REALLY bad. It's not an uncommon illness: all rats have it, but it can get bad.

Rat Tricks
Right, you want to teach your rat some tricks? Okay.Basic Acrobatics
1.Get your rats favourite food.
2.Hold your rat.
3.Gently turn your hand slightly to the right.
4.Repeat step three until your hand is almost upside down.
5.Then, wait till your rat is getting ready to get off, turn your hand upside down and if your rat stays on reward her/him, if your rat does not, repeat steps, which you should do anyway.
PRECAUTION: DO THIS OVER A SOFT THING, WITH A RAT THAT IS WILLING TO DO THIS TRICK!
Tip: When you give your rat any treat, say ''treat''.

Come Here:
1. Get a bowl of your rat's favourite food.
2. First, sit only a little distance away from your rat, then call him/her by name while patting your knees encouragingly.
3. Repeat again and again, each time sitting further and further away, reward your rat if he/she makes any moves towards you.

Choosing A Rat
Rats are delightful rodents, they are intelligent , affectionate and love attention(that is pet rats!). If trained properly, rats can even play basketball! They can swim well and are quite good thieves… But anyway rats are just great pets!!!!
